Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Multicenter longitudinal data are lacking regarding the incidence and time needed for total left ventricular thrombus (LVT) regression obtained with contemporary antithrombotic regimens diagnosed modern echocardiographic technology. Purpose To quantify effect therapy on LVT evolution using sequential up-to-date echocardiography in a large cohort patients LVT. Methods Ten centers were involved this observational prospective multicenter study. was defined as an echo-dense mass adjacent to hypokinetic or akinetic myocardial segment. be distinguishable from underlying myocardium, clear thrombus–blood interface required had visible at least 2 views during cardiac cycle. Initial follow-up echocardiograph scheduled 14±7 days (T0) 42±7 (T1). The early resolution when no longer detected T1. use different anticoagulant ultrasound contrast discretion attending physicians, according good clinical practice. Results From October 2020 November 2022, 99 (mean age 66 ± 11 years, 80% men) identified echocardiography, 53% used. Early observed 42%. Echocardiographic characteristics by shown Table. independent correlates smaller baseline area, higher LVEF, mobile (p<0.05). Conclusions In well-characterized present-day LVT, achieved less than half mostly related size heart function rather treatment despite high proportion therapy. next step will assess impact persistence subsequent outcomes.

A Pedunculated Left Ventricular Thrombus in a Women with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy: Evaluation by Three Dimensional Echocardiography

Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a cardiac condition characterized by development of heart failure during the last month of pregnancy or during the first five months of post partum period without any other identifiable cause of heart failure. The hypercoagulable state in the pregnancy along with left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction predisposes the patient to thromboembolic complications like ...

Hypereosinophilic Cardiac Involvement Presenting With Left Ventricular Massive Thrombus and Cardioembolic Stroke: A Case Report

Introduction: It is well known that the tendency toward thrombosis is increased in cancer patients. The increase in cancer procoagulant and tissue factor levels, endothelial damage, and stasis due to compression are among the most accused causes of thrombosis in cancer patients. Hypereosinophilia is a rare condition that causes endothelial damage leading to thrombosis. <s...

Left Ventricular Thrombus.

Left ventricular thrombus (LVT) is a frequent complication in patients with acute anterior myocardial infarction (MI) and in those with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). The clinical importance of LVT lies in its potential to embolize. The current treatment of patients with acute MI centers on reperfusion, and although controversial, the incidence of LVT complicating acute anterior MI is probably r...

Rapid resolution of left ventricular thrombus with apixaban therapy

It is a common medical practice to anticoagulate an asymptomatic left ventricular mural thrombus following an ST-elevation myocardial infarction using a vitamin K antagonist. Novel oral anticoagulants have not been studied extensively in this context, and therefore, no recommendations have been made for their use. A 67-year-old male physician with no significant medical history presented to the...

Detection of left ventricular thrombus by two-dimensional echocardiography: sensitivity, specificity, and causes of uncertainty.

To define the sensitivity, specificity and predictive accuracy of two-dimensional echocardiographic detection of left ventricular thrombus, the echocardiograms of 78 patients who had independent proof of the presence or absence of a left ventricular thrombus were interpreted without knowledge of any clinical data. The presence of thrombus was established by autopsy in four patients, by aneurysm...
